Current Instructional Levels
Infinite Campus Reporting Requirements
Formative assessment that is to be used by the classroom teacher to guide them with decision-making regarding individual student’s instructional reading level and group placement for guided reading or literature discussion groups. The focus is on individual student reading levels, classroom practice, and the teacher’s decision around planning for what the next steps in learning for individual students are.
Formative assessment, taken at critical times throughout the year, to assist Building Leadership Teams (BLTs), Collaborative Learning Teams (CLTs), building administrators, coaches, interventionists, and classroom teachers in identifying students who are not learning at the same rate as their peers. This information supports the collaborative planning for school-wide intervention practices. Assessments take place throughout the year so that low-progressing students can be identified and intervention takes place immediately rather than waiting until the beginning of the following year when the student has fallen further behind. The focus is on grade level intervention that will lift and accelerate student learning.
Summative assessment used at both a building and district level, for data analysis and decision making around school-wide improvement needs. End of the year benchmark levels are analyzed by proficiency level. This data is looked at for patterns and trends over time, across several programs, and by the district as a whole. Schools use this data to complete their needs assessments, analyze gaps in achievement by sub groups, and set building-wide learning goals. The district uses this data to report out on district-wide goals and analyze gaps in achievement by sub groups at a district level. The focus is on school and district-wide progress over time.
End of the trimester benchmark levels have been designed so that students who are not progressing can be identified and interventions can be put into place to ensure all students meet end of the year, grade level benchmarks.
