The Green Bay Area Public School District’s Board of Education voted on January 23, 2017, to approve placing before the voters on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 two referendum questions.

The first question asks the voters to consider a $16.5M non-recurring operational referendum, which would allow the District to levy to the current state average for the next 10 years, allowing the District to continue its work to educate all students to be college, career and community ready. Even with the increased levy capacity the District anticipates making reductions in order to have a balanced budget for the 2017-18 school year.

The second question is to consider a $68.25M construction referendum in order to resolve capacity issues, provide safe and secure entrances at several elementary schools, and provide equitable opportunities for students.
