Before & After School Programs
The Green Bay Area Public School District and community partners offer several before and after school programs. Learn more about the programs below.
GBAPS 21CCLC
21st Century Community Learning Centers is a federally funded after school program grant that offers a wide range of fun, educational and recreational activities: technology, interest clubs, hands-on projects, field trips, and free daily dinner and/or snack.
The purpose of the program is to establish or expand community learning centers that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with activities designed to complement the students’ regular academic program. Community learning centers also offer families of these students literacy and related educational development.

Centers provide a range of high-quality services to support student learning and development, including tutoring and mentoring, homework help, academic enrichment (such as hands-on science or technology programs), community service opportunities, as well as music, arts, sports and cultural activities. At the same time, centers help working parents by providing a safe environment for students during non-school hours or periods when school is not in session.

YMCA School-Age Child Care
YMCA before and after school care is for students ages Ages 5-12 (5 year-olds must be in 5k). The program operates every regular school day.
Led by qualified, caring staff, the Green Bay Y’s licensed Before and After School Program aligns with the school day and is designed to help children with homework, keep them active with indoor and outdoor games, and encourage their creativity with arts and crafts. Healthy snacks are also provided each afternoon. We provide a quality, safe place for children to go so that parents have peace of mind and freedom to work or study, knowing that their children’s needs are being addressed.
