Wrap-Around Opportunities Provided by Community Partners
The Green Bay Area Public School District was proud to be able to fund wrap-around care for Summer School for the last few years using ESSER (COVID-relief) funds. Unfortunately, ESSER funds were one-time monies that needed to be spent by September 2024. We appreciate the continued collaboration with our community partners.
The Baird, King and Webster Elementary sites will be running morning Summer School programming with an optional afternoon opportunity provided by the YMCA. The afternoon program runs until 5:15 p.m. with engaging activities and two weekly field trips coordinated by the YMCA. The fee for YMCA wrap-around care is $70 a week and financial assistance is available. Register for the YMCA program.
A similar afternoon opportunity will be provided by the Boys & Girls Club for students at Lincoln and Nicolet Elementary Schools. Boys and Girls Club staff will be picking up students (grades 1-5 only) and walking them over to the Club for care until 5:30 p.m. Registration for the afternoon program is handled directly through the Boys & Girls Club, and the program is at no cost to families. Register through the Boys & Girls Club.

- Staff are asked to watch and monitor students carefully for signs of heat exhaustion and to call a district nurse if there are concerns.
If the heat index is above 95 degrees:
