Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame nomination period typically opens in late winter/early spring each year. The nomination process is online; however, an individual can request a paper form. Anyone is permitted to nominate and people may nominate themselves. 

There are three criteria for both Alumni and Educator inductees:

Alumni

1. Must be a graduate from GBAPS.
2. Must have graduated high school a minimum of 20 years before being nominated.
3. Must exemplify the values of the District: excellence, engagement, equity, integrity and responsibility.

Educators

1. Must have formally been an educator for GBAPS, in any role or capacity.
2. Must have retired from GBAPS or been employed for a minimum of 10 years.
3. Must exemplify the values of the District: excellence, engagement, equity, integrity and responsibility. 

Yes. If a deceased individual is selected to the Hall of Fame, family members will be invited to take part in the induction ceremony.

Nominations are never eliminated and nominators are encouraged to continue to provide updated information to enhance the nomination to be considered in the future. Those who are not selected in a given year will continue to be considered in following years without the need for re-nomination.
