Open Enrollment
The State of Wisconsin Open Enrollment Program allows parents/guardians to apply for their students to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. Both the resident and non-resident school district must approve the application.
Open Enrollment approval is to a school district. The school district reserves the right to grant or deny requests for specific programs or schools based on space availability of such programs or schools and appropriate and relevant prerequisites for such programs and/or schools.
Transportation for open enrolled students is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. For additional information regarding qualifications for transportation reimbursement, please visit the Department of Public Instruction website.
Students currently approved through open enrollment to the Green Bay Area Public School District do not need to apply each year. At transition years, your student will roll to the approved schools feeder schools for middle and high school.
