Canvas Family/Guardian Access
Canvas is a powerful and user-friendly platform designed to enhance the learning process and facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents.
All middle and high school courses are hosted through Canvas, our district’s learning platform. As educators expand their experiences in Canvas, you’ll see more content populated in your student’s online course content. Some key benefits of using Canvas are:

Guardians of students have observers accounts in Canvas. These accounts are automatically activated based on information from Infinite Campus. Observer accounts are only created if an individual has guardianship or educational rights to a child’s information.
Follow the steps below for accessing your account and learning about the platform:
Step 1. Retrieve Your Account Information
Before you Begin: Do you have an active Infinite Campus Parent Portal account? If not, please email the Help Desk or call 920-448-2148.
- Click "Forgot Password"
- Enter your Infinite Campus Parent Portal username and click "Request Password."
- The IC username can be found in the Contact Preferences section of the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
- Open the Instructure Canvas password reset email. You may need to check your spam folder. This email will contain the login that you will use to access Canvas and a link to reset your password.
- Select 'Click here to set a new password'. Enter your new password.
- Access again to https://gbaps.instructure.com/login/canvas and use the login (from the email) and your password to access Canvas.

Step 4. Learn How to Navigate Canvas:
Learn the tools available to you as a guardian via video, Canvas Guides, or in a GBAPS Canvas course.

- GBAPS Canvas Parent Course: Participate in the Canvas course titled Getting Started with Canvas for Parents. You’ll be prompted to join a course and follow modules in the platform, explaining the different features of the Canvas platform.
