Family Survey Now Open

From November 3–14, 2025, the Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPS) invites parents and guardians to participate in the Family Engagement Survey, a key initiative aligned with the District’s strategic plan and commitment to strengthening Family and School Partnerships.

Last year, the GBAPS Board of Education adopted a new strategic plan focused on four priority areas: academic excellence, a thriving student body, a thriving workforce, and family and community engagement. As part of this plan, the District established a five-year goal for family and community engagement to increase favorable responses from families, measured annually through a district-wide survey.

This year’s survey was co-created in partnership with Panorama Education, a nationally recognized organization known for its research-based tools that support school improvement. A dedicated team of school staff, community members, and family representatives collaborated to identify the highest-priority areas to measure through the survey:

  • Barriers to Engagement
  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • School Climate
  • Family Well-being

The survey is available in multiple languages, and families are encouraged to complete one survey per school their children attend.

“While family engagement has been an important element of our District and school culture, the strategic plan and its five-year goals ensure that all staff are truly being intentional on how we create schools where all students and parents/guardians feel they belong,” Ingrid Parker-Hill, Director of Engagement, said. “We look forward to reviewing the results of the family engagement survey and learning where we are being successful in connecting with our families and what are our areas of growth.”

GBAPS encourages all of our families to participate and share their experiences to help shape the future of family and school partnerships.
