In an effort to recruit and train substitute teachers, the District will be offering a Substitute Teacher Certification training presented by District staff. This in-person training will be offered on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (There will be one hour provided for participants to have lunch on their own.)
Anyone interested in substitute teaching, with a conferred associate's or bachelor's degree in any field, is invited to participate. There is no cost to attend this training. Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible to apply for a three-year short-term substitute teacher license from the Department of Public Instruction.
Following sign up, participants will receive a confirmation email with more detailed information related to the event. Please contact Marie Viste in Human Resources with any questions.
Please note that there are a limited number of spots available for this training. A confirmation email with the training location and other details will be sent within one week of sign up.
