East High MSA Holds Festive Feast Lunch

The East High School Muslim Student Association (MSA) held the Festive Feast Lunch Fundraiser on Friday, February 28, 2025, to fund the club's activities.

The lunch featured rice, beef or chicken cooked with Somali herbs and spices and vegetable sambusas. Kac Kac and Puff Puff were dessert options and a special Vimto fruit drink was available.

The club served 66 meals in total.

Last year, the MSA raised funds from the lunch to support several projects. Some of the funds were used to educate peers at East High about Ramadan through a presentation and traditional foods. Funds also went towards students visiting Six Flags Great America to study the physics of the rides. That trip was also the first time any of the MSA students rode a roller coaster.

This was the 3rd Annual Festive Feast Lunch Fundraiser and the MSA raised $1,005 for future projects and opportunities.
