Three Green Bay Area Public School District music educators are being recognized by the Recording Academy® and GRAMMY Museum® for the 2026 Music Educator Award™.

Congratulations to music educators Kimberly Meader (Green Bay Preble High School), Emily Paulsen (Webster Elementary Children’s Center for Integrated Arts) and Brandon Rockstroh (Green Bay Southwest High School) for being recognized.

The Music Educator Award™ was established to recognize educators who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education and who demonstrate a commitment to the broader cause of maintaining music education in the schools.

The award is open to current U.S. music teachers. The Recording Academy and GRAMMY Museum accepts nominations from students, parents, friends, colleagues, community members, school deans, and administrators. Teachers are also able to nominate themselves, and nominated teachers are notified and invited to fill out an application.

A total of 200 music teachers from 180 cities have been announced as quarterfinalists and 214 legacy applicants will also be eligible to win the award this year. More than 2,000 initial nominations were submitted. Legacy applicants are recognized as quarterfinalists from the prior year who are still eligible for the award.

Meader is a legacy applicant, while Paulsen and Rockstroh are quarterfinalists.

The semi-finalists will be announced in September 2025.
