Jackson Students Host Living Museum

Student portraying Oprah Winfrey holds up a book titled Who is Oprah Winfrey?

Fourth Graders at Jackson Elementary School wrapped up a research project on February 27, 2025, with a 'Living Museum' highlighting Black Americans.

Mrs. Krista Clendenen's class chose influential Black Americans to research and then showcased those people with a 'living exhibit.'

Students portrayed the person they researched and then taught visitors about the person.

Some of the people featured in the 'Living Museum' were Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, Jackie Robinson, Harriet Tubman, Ruby Bridges, Phillis Wheatley and many more.
