West High Hosts Read-A-Thon

Students and staff members came together for an African American Authors Read-A-Thon on February 27, 2025, at West High School.

All students and staff were invited to participate in the school-wide event meant to celebrate African American authors.

Books and poetry were read that highlighted African American history, culture and creativity. This included works by Maya Angelou, Zora Neale Hurston, Questlove, Alice Walker, Langston Hughes, Tupac Shakur, James Baldwin and many more.
