This Girl Can logoLooking for an exciting opportunity for you and your daughter/little sister/niece that is both fun and educational?

The Green Bay Area Public School District is holding two FREE three-week workshops for girls and a special adult that explore non-typical female careers.

DIY Lawn Art (for girls in grades 7, 8 or 9)
Put away the hot glue guns and scissors, in this workshop girls and adults will use basic welding to create and design a decorative lawn art project.
  • Dates - February 6, 8 and 13
  • Time - 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • This session is for a female student and her mother, grandmother, older sister, aunt, female mentor, etc. 
  • 8 students and 8 adults - first come, first serve
  • Located at West High School, 966 Shawano Ave. 

IT (Information Technology) and Fashion Design (for girls in grades 6, 7, 8 or 9)
Students and their mothers/significant female adult will learn how computer science and technology are used in the fashion industry while building fashion themed programs like the fashion walk, a stylist tool, and a pattern maker.

  • Dates - April 10, 12 and 17
  • Time - 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • This session is for a female student and her mother, grandmother, older sister, aunt, female mentor, etc. 
  • 14 students and 14 adults - first come, first serve
  • Located at Preble High School, 2222 Deckner Ave.
