Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Green Bay Area Public School District is conducting an anonymous School Climate Survey of its staff, students and parents. The purpose of the study is to gain a greater understanding of perceptions regarding safety, student engagement and overall school environment.

The survey is completely voluntary and parents are asked to complete the survey by May 19. Parents may choose to fill out the survey for each of the schools their children attend, or take the survey once, using the youngest child’s school.

The student survey will be administered to grades 3 through 12 during the school day beginning March 27. It is an anonymous online survey that does not ask about your child’s personal experiences, but rather asks about their perceptions of safety, student engagement and the environment of the school.

The student survey is also voluntary, and if you do not want your child(ren) to take the student survey, please fill out the Opt Out form and return to your school principal by Friday, March 16, 2018.

We thank you for your consideration regarding this important effort of providing District administrators and the Board of Education important information about our schools in an effort to continuously improve.

If you have any questions about this survey, you may contact your school principal or the Help Desk at the Green Bay Area Public School District office at (920) 448-2148 or servicedesk@gbaps.org.
