King Elementary School recently facilitated an eight week after-school club with female students at King Elementary. The Girls Who Code Club consisted of a kindergarten - second grade group of 17 girls, and a third - fifth grade group of 10 students.
The older students used the Girls Who Code curriculum each week. The younger girls used block coding with robotics and other coding items to practice coding skills. Each week they focused on building friendships, learning about STEM careers, coding and problem solving.
Thanks to King educators Michelle Flicek and Anne Lindsley for making this hands-on learning opportunity possible!
